Well, so far, so good.

So far, so good. I’m playing with the WordPress theme that my son suggested and am slowly catching on.

A big shout out to Rich Jackson, webmaster of MisterRJ45.com for his assistance in showing me how some of this stuff works. You see, I’m from the “old” days of constructing sites around html, frames and so on. This new-fangled way of managing web sites really throws me for a loop. However, Goddess willing, I’ll get all of this figured out.

Why am I here? Good question.

I’m here to interact with readers, and yes, to show off, just a bit. I’ve published two books now and am wanting feedback so I know how to improve for the next one. NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is coming up in November and I plan to work on the sequel to Love Songs and Rainbows. 50,000 words in thirty days! Can you imagine writing that much in such a short length of time? However, my sister-in-law, R.L. Jackson, wrote her excellent novel Gray during NaNo – and didn’t have to self-publish. If she can do it, I can do it.

I also have some House MD fan fiction I’m working on. One is a sequel to The Touch, another supernatural work in the High Lonesome verse, entitled “Never and Always.” Another one that I plan to get to is “Like The Rain,” a House/Cameron fiction I started several years ago. I hope to have both finished by the time NaNoWriMo arrives.

When I’m not writing I’m working in either Smith Micro’s Poser Professional or Daz3D’s Daz Studio, and sometimes I combine the two, as I did for the cover of Love Songs and Rainbows. I have a rather lengthy project going on in that area with the design of a Steampunk Tarot Deck that I’m entitling The Retro Sci-Fi Tarot. I haven’t decided if I’ll just sell it off of this site, or give it a domain of its own. When it’s close to being done I’ll take pre-orders and self-publish it through one of the card creation sites. I imagine it’s going to be years before I get all 78 cards finished, so I’ll make those decisions when the time comes.

Anyway, thanks for dropping by, and hopefully you’ll be hearing from me again soon.

By day a Technical Analyst for a Major Insurance Company's Corporate Office in the Midwest, by night a romance novelist, I've been writing since I was about eleven years old. I'm also a mother to two sons, ages 27 and 30. Favorite past times include writing, reading, graphic design and listening to music. You'll find I write a lot about musicians, mostly because I find them to be very intriguing.
